Trading Co. (KTC) , established in 1974, is a government registered company.
KTC started out as exporter of handmade woolen carpets and hand crafted
goods. KTC exported carpets manufactured by its sister concern, Soorya Carpet
Industries, to all over the world before it received its export license. KTC started its import activities in 1979 when it was appointed the indenting agent of Sandoz Ltd., a pharmaceutical, dyes and chemical manufacturer based in Basel, Switzerland. KTC has continued to be the sole agent of the company even after it changed its name to Clariant Ltd. KTC now represents Clariant (Switzerland) Ltd. and its Indian subsidiary, Clariant (India) Ltd. KTC supplies necessary dyes and chemicals to the local carpet, textile, pashmina, leather and detergent industries. Read more.. In 1993, KTC was appointed the sole distributor and agent of Alfred Kärcher GmbH and Co. KG, based in Winneden, Germany. Kärcher is the acknowledged world leader in high pressure cleaning equipment and in other diverse range of industrial cleaning machines. It manufactures the most complete and popular line of commercial and consumer cleaning products in the world. KTC also operates Karcher Service Station - a vehicle service facility using entirely Kärcher brand of cleaning equipments and chemicals. This firm also has vehicle repair and maintenance facility and employs a team of skilled vehicle repair technicians and mechanics. In recent years KTC has also acquired sole distributorship of Sonax and Filmop SRL. Sonax manufactures automobile care products ranging from exterior care to engine care. Filmop produces manual tools and equipments for industrial and household cleaning. Read more.. In 2002/2003, KTC designed and constructed an authentic Nepalese style Pagoda structure at the world famous Hagenbeck Zoo in Hamburg, Germany. For this extraordinary project, KTC exported 150 tonnes of construction materials, incl. 60,000 bricks, over 50 tonnes of various materials made of wood and 15 tonnes of stones. KTC employed eighteen highly skilled workers at the site in Hamburg over a period of 9 months to construct this unique cultural landmark. The Pagoda now serves as the main entrance to the Zoo that is visited by over half a million people annually. Read more..
